Announcing the 2021 Winners of Strattam’s Golden Armadillo Awards

Strattam is pleased to present our 3rd annual Golden Armadillo awards in recognition of stand-out leaders who have shown that, like the famous Texas icon, they are masters of persistence and successful adaptability, no matter what the challenge.

This year, we’re honoring five extremely deserving members of the Strattam portfolio team. As in years past, winners of this elite award are chosen by secret ballot, and their names are engraved on a trophy displayed proudly at our Austin office. Join us in sending congratulations their way! We think you’ll find their accomplishments clearly speak to their collective tenacity and drive to succeed.

JOSH BOUK
Trax, Sales/GTM

Josh joined Trax in early 2020, just before the pandemic hit. Since that time—and despite the move to remote working—he has re-built the entire Trax go-to-market machine, catapulting average bookings by 400%. He successfully implemented a new “pod” model that focused on both existing and new enterprise accounts across three target verticals (tech, healthcare/pharma, and retail), so that sales, pre-sales, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) efforts could improve the customer journey in these markets. As a result, Trax dramatically enhanced personal engagement with its largest enterprise opportunities with both new and existing customers. Josh is also leading the company into the 3PL/4PL market and oversees the payments partnership with AvidXchange. As he continues to ramp up volume and revenue, Josh is exploring other industry partnerships and serves as a strong partner to Trax CEO Hamp Wall in transforming the company culture. Josh is an all-around winner, and we are happy to have him as part of the Trax (and Strattam) team!

GREG TUCKER
Trax, VP of Marketing

Greg joined the Trax team in late 2020 and immediately hit the ground running. His objective was to drive increased demand through a more modern marketing motion that leveraged multiple channels with a strong brand. Within his first six months, Greg had not only implemented the necessary systems and processes to achieve this goal, but he had also launched a completely new messaging and positioning platform and built a new website. Having secured these foundational elements, he then added to his team and successfully launched the company’s first Account-Based Marketing program. Under Greg’s leadership, the ABM team has moved from little engagement within their target account base to over 50% engagement within a very short window of time. In fact, the program has been so successful that it’s now expanding to include additional accounts with a significantly lower Cost per Lead (CPL). Greg is a true partner to Sales and is well respected by peers and teammates alike. Well done, Greg!

JENNIFER MABE
Rock Solid Technologies, CFO

Since joining Rock Solid Technologies in 2019 as the company’s first-ever CFO, Jennifer has become a trusted thought partner to the Founder & CEO and built a first-rate finance organization. She led the recasting of company reporting into business units with KPIs, and she successfully implemented an entirely new general ledger system for the company. Jennifer has also overseen the diligence process and integration of two strategic acquisitions: CitySourced (in 2019) and PrimeGov (in 2021). More recently, she led the divestiture of the company’s IT services division, Rock Solid ERP, in 2021, enabling Rock Solid Technologies to become a pure-play provider of government SaaS solutions. These transactions proceeded smoothly thanks in large part to Jennifer’s shrewd relationship-building skills. She also manages dual-language reporting requirements in the company’s Puerto Rico entity and has long been a thought leader among her peers, presenting at the Strattam CFO Summits and mentoring others in the industry. Congratulations, Jennifer, on this well-deserved honor!

STEPHEN TYLER
Rock Solid Technologies, CTO

When he joined Rock Solid Technologies as CTO in late 2019, Stephen had his work cut out for him. The existing department, while solid in structure, needed an operations boost to better maintain the product offering, including additional focus on quality metrics, the technology stack, and overall development methodologies. Over the next two years, Stephen made significant progress. The product teams have clear-cut direction and visibility on all development processes and pipelines. They know how offerings will be tested and deployed, and they have all the metrics required to manage the business.  Development, of course, is an ongoing journey—but under Stephen’s guidance, the progress thus far has been extremely impressive. Congratulations on your excellent leadership!

 

JOE DENEY
Contegix, COO 

When Joe started at Contegix in late 2019, he took over a hosting operation in need of improved management practices. From renewing service contracts to replacing hardware and reducing customer outages, Joe took a methodical approach to optimizing operations top to bottom. As a result, the organization is running at peak performance and Joe and his team are now squarely focused on doing the advance work necessary to maintain a robust, productive environment for customers. Congratulations, Joe, on your invaluable leadership and a total transformation of the Contegix operations team.
