AUSTIN, TX (February 10, 2016) – Strattam Capital, a private equity firm focused on driving value through a unique engagement strategy at Business IT companies, today announced the appointment of Ray Villareal as a Managing Director. Mr. Villareal has held senior level executive and advisor positions at several venture-backed private companies. Effective immediately, he will serve in a full-time capacity at Strattam, working closely with the firm’s investment team and the management of its portfolio companies to develop and implement go-to-market strategies and execution improvement activities.

In addition to working closely with Strattam’s two current portfolio companies, Doxim and Trax Technologies, Mr. Villareal will help evaluate select new opportunities. He will bring to bear his operating and management experience across a variety of functions, including global sales, marketing, professional services, customer support and business development.

Before joining Strattam, Mr. Villareal most recently was vice president of the Americas and general manager of global services at LifeSize, a division of Logitech, where he was responsible for the Americas go-to-market activities, global services and world-wide customer satisfaction during the transition to cloud software and inexpensive video devices. Over the past 30 years, he also has served as senior vice president of field operations at SumTotal Systems, vice president of marketing and vice president of field operations at WebEx Communications and CEO and board member at Omniva Policy Systems. Additionally, Mr. Villareal has provided independent consulting services at software and technology companies such as VSee, OnRamp Systems and VMware. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from Stanford University.
